Dubai Integrated Economic Zone Launches Fintech Venture Capital Fund

The Dubai Integrated Economic Zone (DIEZ) has officially introduced the venture capital fund Oraseya Capital, dedicated to investing in fintech startups within the region. This move aligns with Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, focusing on nurturing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across various industries.

With a funding pool of AED 500 million (approximately $136 million), Oraseya Capital aims to support fintech startups from their early stages to Series B. The fund seeks to bridge financial gaps, foster global expansion, and promote investments in advanced technologies.

Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of DIEZ, and a team of seasoned experts in the startup ecosystem lead the fund. The initiative is in line with Dubai’s economic development goals, particularly its emphasis on strengthening the SME sector, a vital component of the economy.

The objective of Oraseya Capital is to empower entrepreneurs globally to establish innovative enterprises, further solidifying its position as a premier venture investment company in the startup landscape. The official website of Oraseya Capital now allows business owners to submit financing applications, catering to local and international companies interested in operating within Dubai. The fund’s establishment signifies Dubai’s growing prominence as an investment destination and a global tech startup hub, enhancing its competitive edge on the world stage.
