Paytm launches ‘Receive Money QR Widget’ on Android, introduces real-time payment sound alert
One 97 Communications Limited (OCL), the parent company of Paytm, has launched the ‘Receive Money QR Widget’ for Android users, enabling businesses and individuals to accept payments directly from their smartphone home screen. This extension follows the successful rollout of the feature for iOS users.
The new widget allows influencers, shopkeepers, freelancers, delivery partners, and small businesses to collect payments seamlessly without opening the Paytm app. Additionally, Paytm has introduced a distinct coin-drop sound notification, ensuring real-time alerts whenever a payment is received, enhancing transparency and user experience.
A Paytm spokesperson stated, “We are excited to introduce the ‘Receive Money QR Widget’ for Android users, making payment collection faster and more convenient. Along with this, the coin-drop sound notification provides instant confirmation when payments are received, further simplifying the experience.”
How to use the ‘Receive Money QR Widget’ on Android:
- Open the Paytm app.
- Tap on your profile icon in the top left.
- Select the “Add QR to Homescreen” option below your QR code.
- Confirm, and the QR widget will be added to your home screen.
- The widget will remain accessible even when the app is closed.
- Show the QR widget to receive payments instantly.
- A coin-drop notification sound will alert you whenever a payment is received.
