Fintech Company Razorpay Elevates Rahul Kothari to COO Role for India and Malaysia

Razorpay has recently promoted Rahul Kothari to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for its operations in India and Malaysia. This move is part of Razorpay’s broader expansion plan, which includes entering the South East Asia (SEA) region.

Rahul Kothari brings over two decades of experience in various international markets, including the US, Europe, Australia, and India. He has previously worked with organizations such as PayU, WNS Global Services, and The Boston Consulting Group. In 2019, he joined Razorpay as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) and played a significant role in the company’s global growth as a comprehensive B2B fintech platform. He was instrumental in launching the company’s first international payment gateway in Malaysia in collaboration with Curlec.

In his new role as COO, Kothari’s primary focus will be on shaping Razorpay into a customer-centric organization, with a strong emphasis on delivering a seamless experience to customers from various segments and businesses. He will also play a crucial part in charting the company’s business strategies to drive sustained and substantial revenue growth in both the Indian and Malaysian markets.
